So I might have stayed up until it worked…
Profile Info is Real Now
Your profile info is now live! It's actually you that shows up on the front page of your site, if you're using a theme with a profile card. You can edit your profile info in Rosegarden > Team > Edit, and if there are multiple users on your site, right now only the first is being used.
Which user is the “first” user, you ask?
…That's up to Elixir, at the moment. 🫠
Later on we'll have support for themes with multiple profile cards. Team rosters! Leaderboards! Yay!
Try it out, and let us know what you think about the new profile features.
Social Links
These little things are a great way to let people connect with you across the web. You can now add up to four links to your profile card, that show up in nice clicky buttons. That's what they look like in the only theme we have that supports profile cards right now, anyway.
We've added icons for a few popular sites and more will probably be added over time. I also want to refine how we detect what site you're linking to, because it's very… simple, right now. Simple. Simple is good, right?
Other Fun
There have been a ton of changes, some visible, some not so much. I've been building instead of posting updates, but I'm going to work on finding a good balance of making the stuff and then also telling you about the stuff so you can go and find it and play with it! The themes have been refined, the login system got a deep rework (long time coming, it's one of the first things I wrote when I had even less of an idea what I was doing [if you can believe that]), and rosegarden got some brush-up too. Uploaded images are being resized properly, and you shouldn't notice a visual difference. Post dates have less timezone bugs. Lots of little tweaks that sneak in while I'm building bigger features and notice something I have to fix real quick.
Remember, you are the reason any of this is here. So don't be afraid to use that handy new email link on my profile card and share your thoughts.
Good night,
hunter
